One of the most significant milestones in HERA’s brief history came in 2024, when we secured $1.5 million in federal funding to seed the development of new microcredential programs to serve our region’s employers and employees.
Now comes an even bigger milestone: We’re starting to roll out real-world results.
Recently, HERA launched a pilot version of its first-ever microcredential. Titled “AI Literacy: Building Understanding, Ethics, and Responsible Practice,” this course is delivered entirely online and allows users to complete it at their own pace. It is designed to provide a general overview of Artificial Intelligence, along with some very specific, real-world examples of how AI is being used by businesses across our region.
